On April 11th 2018 the Follies Trust launched its 6th publication, titled The Cliffs of Moher & the O’Brien Legacy, in the Cliffs of Moher Visitor Centre, Liscannor, Co. Clare.
The publication is edited by William Laffan.The book charts the conservation of the O’Brien Column, close to the Cliffs, in 2017 by the Follies Trust and delves into the history of Cornelius O’Brien, the man who opened up the Cliffs of Moher to visitors in the nineteenth century. It is a fascinating read with nine essays on everything from the origins of the commemorative column in Ireland to St Bridget’s Well and the chronology of the O’Brien column raised in memory of Cornelius.

Minister Moran meets the Follies Trust
In June 2019, at the Irish Georgian Society/ Kildare County Council Traditional Skills event in the grounds of Castletown House, Follies Trust Chairman Primrose Wilson & Trustee Camilla McAleese had the opportunity of presenting a copy of the Cliffs of Moher and the O’Brien Legacy to Minister Moran.
