Follies Trust research the Malone Mausoleum and Kilbixy

On 21st & 22nd October The Follies Trust, in partnership with the Irish Georgian Society, with
funding from the Department of Housing, Local Government & Heritage is
undertaking a study day in City Assembly House, Dublin 2, followed by a
site visit the next day to Kilbixy, Co. Westmeath.

The Follies Trust has obtained a grant from the IGS Homan Potterton
bequest to commission a condition survey of the Malone mausoleum – this
is currently being undertaken by Lotts Architects.

The object of the study day and visit is to better understand this interesting structure
and the complex Early Christian site within which it is located.
